Written by Nancy Naholi

Tarmacking of the link roads to bituminous standards in Nakuru City has significantly opened up areas for development and promoted economic growth. This is evident by H.E. Governor Susan Kihika’s efforts to invest in the City’s mobility sector.

This initiative has witnessed a robust upgrade of the road network that has enhanced road connectivity and improved the general outlook of the City.

Officers from the City Board today carried out final inspections on the construction of Bargain Road, Kakamega Road and Mbugua and Mbugua Road and drainage to assess the quality of work done and ensure that there is value for money.

By following this practice, the Management under the County Administration aims to guarantee that the projects meet the required standards and that the residents receive the best possible infrastructure.

The 2 KM road projects which are at the completion stage now serve as alternative accesses, addressing traffic snarl-ups and enhancing security in the City’s Neighborhoods.

The tarmacking of these link roads has greatly benefited residents and businesses while also improving accessibility to various areas within the City, allowing for ease of movement.

The final inspections of the roads signified their successful completion with the roads now open and residents are enjoying the benefits of this initiative which is significantly contributing to the growth and development of the City.

The well-maintained roads have given the city a transformative outlook making it more appealing, attracting businesses and investment opportunities, creating employment opportunities and enhancing the overall appearance of the City.

The Administration has disclosed plans to adopt and hugely invest in efficient and sustainable mobility options that are healthy and pollution-free with the ultimate goal of harnessing clean and sustainable living practices.
